Gaviscon 250 tablets bring fast, soothing and long lasting relief from the pain and discomfort of heartburn and acid indigestion. They belong to a group of medicines called 'reflux suppressants'.

You can take this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The tablets are sugar free and gluten free.

Dosage: Adults and children over 12 years: Take two tablets as required. Children under 12: Not recommended Chew thoroughly before swallowing. If symptoms persist consult your doctor.

The tablets also contain mannitol (E421), calcium carbonate, xylitol (E967), povidone, magnesium stearate, sodium saccharin, peppermint oil and vanillin.

Each chewable tablet contains 250mg alginic acid Ph Eur, 85mg sodium bicarbonate Ph Eur, 50mg aluminium hydroxide gel Ph Eur, and 12.5mg magnesium trisilicate Ph Eur as the active ingredients.

Each tablet contains 1.02mmol of sodium. If you have been advised to follow a low sodium (salt) diet ask your doctor before taking this product. The tablets contain aluminium hydroxide. You should consult your doctor or pharmacist if you suffer from kidney problems or low blood phosphate levels. These tablets also contain xylitol which may very rarely cause a laxative effect. Do not take if you know you are allergic to any of the ingredients as very rarely difficulty in breathing and skin rashes have occurred. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date (EXP: month/year) shown. Keep all medicines out of sight and reach of children.
