What is your medicine for? Hydromol ointment is for general use as an emollient to moisturise and soften dry skin. It may be used instead of soap.

If you have been prescribed Hydromol ointment by a doctor or nurse follow his/ her instructions on use. Your pharmacist may also help if you have any queries. Using your medicine: Hydromol ointment should be massaged into the skin as often as required, it may be added to the bath by first melting it with hot water. When using it as a bath additive, care should be taken as it will make the surface of the bath slippery.

Excipients: Liquid Paraffin Ph Eur. Hydromol ointment is dispensed in containers of 125 and 500g of ointment.

Emuldifying Wax BP 30% w/w and Yellow Soft Paraffin BP 30% w/w.

Before using your medicine: Hydromol ointment is not associated with any known side effects, but do not use Hydromol ointment if your are known to be sensitive to any or the ingredients. After using your medicine: If you have experience any skin irritation or any other ill effects with Hydromol ointment, consult your doctor or pharmacist immediately and ask if you should continue with your medicine. Store below 25ºCin a dry place. For external use only. Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Replace lid after use. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
